What Causes A Sudden Attack Of Paralysis And Vision Problem?

A young boy, age 10, experiences sudden paralysis and vision problems, such as things spinning, seeing double or triple of objects and sometimes complete lose of vision. The symptoms last anywhere from 15 minutes to 5 hrs. The doctors have run an MRI, EKG, blood test, and EEG. Everything came back fine. They are completely stumped at this point. Is there possibly any suggestions as to maybe something exotic that the doctors might look for?

hi i suspect these problems all could be related to something like vasculitis. But these similar sort of symptoms could be resulting from infarction or embolism. But if it is really infarction or embolism it would have been revealed in d m r i scanning.if i was your kids consulting pediatrician i would rule out vasculitis in this case. vasculitis is inflammation of blood vessels.
