Hi,I am Dr. Andrew Rynne (Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My mother (73 years) has been having abdominal pain for more than 10 years now. Several tests including endoscopy, colonoscopy (a few years back) and CT Scan (few weeks back) have been done. But nothing concrete has been found. She has been mainly prescribed medicines like Neopride, Meva C and Buscopan. She continues to have pain. I do not know what to do now?
hi welcome to Hcm
Pain abdomen without any signs and with normal endo/colonoscopy and normal CT will rule out any organic disease. Pain abdomen in this case would be purely psychological, so counsel her ,pay attention to her problem and give her Anti depressants like tab. clonotril by consulting your treating doctor.Give 2-3litres of water everyday .Give diet rich in fibre.
Thankyou
