What Causes Anaphylatic Shock Due To Inhalation Of Zinc Chloride?

We had an army enlistee Pte Dominique Sarron Lee Rui Feng die of anaphylatic shock in April this year due to inhalation of zinc chloride in smoke bombs. He has a 16 year old brother. Is allergy to zinc oxide congenital? Will his brother have this as well? Raphaelle Do, EN, Dip Fin P

It is not at all necessary that same allergy is for brother also. but it is also not necessary that you will not have the allergy. if you want to know about the allergy to your brother you should think of allergy test. in this test you are injected with sublethal dose of the diluted zinc chloride and reaction are read at 5, 10, 15 mins. If you find any allergic reaction than you should worry about the anaphylactic shock. and take due precaution for future reference.

allergy has some genetical factors in them. but it is not always possible to have his brother to have same allergy. there is multifactorial etiology for allergy. thnx
