Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hello thanks for asking from HCM

Nicotine is a highly addicting substance and the drug may result in prolonged withdrawal symptoms which is also called as protracted withdrawal syndrome. You have passed acute phase but stopped nicotine just 7 days back so to some extent the anxiety and depressive are normal. Continue to try exercise, relaxation training, yoga etc, this will help to reduce the severe anxiety symptoms.
Some drugs like Bupropion, Buspirone etc have excellent roles in anxiety associated with withdrawal of tobacco. These drugs also helps to reduce craving.
Visit a psychiatrist for prescription of these drugs.

Thanks, hope this helps you.

Dear
Welcome to HCM
We understand your concerns

I went through your details. I suggest you not to worry much. Depression and anxiety after cessation of smoking is quite common and that is what you should learn to tackle. The best methods are intake of plenty of liquids and fruit juices. Excessive urination will remove most of the nicotine deposits inside your body. Sweating with the help of exercise also gives the same effect. You should also be able to learn to be busy throughout the day so as to ignore the thoughts about cigarettes.

Start with these simple steps

Step 1 - Practice Deep and full breathing whenever possible
Step 2 - Drink plenty of water and fruit juices.
Step 3 - A Tomato a day keeps anxiety at bay
Step 4 - Exercise regularly

Psychotherapy techniques should suit your requirement. If you require more of my help in this aspect, Please post a direct question to me in this URL. http://goo.gl/aYW2pR. Make sure that you include every minute details possible. I shall prescribe the needed psychotherapy techniques.

Hope this answers your query. Available for further clarifications.
Good luck.
