What Causes Back Ache Near Shoulder Blade?

Age 31 male
I am experiencing a back ache near the left shoulder blade closer to the spine when lifting my left arm above my head. Could this be a pinched nerve? I have also felt my left arm feeling a little prickling sensation and twice like a electrical shock feel in my left arm. I haven't experienced any loss of strength. Any advice would be appreciated.

It can be a musculoskeletal pain probably scapulocostal syndrome. Here there is a myofascial spasm leading severe neck and back pain. Tenderness is there at angle of scapula. Sharp radicular pain in arm can be seen in this syndrome and also it can be due to some nerve impingement in neck pain can be due to disc protrusion.
You can go to a pain physician or orthopedician for confirming the diagnosis. NSAIDS like diclofenac along with muscle relaxants and physiotherapy will give you good relief.
