What Causes Black Colored Stool And Diarrhea?

I am waiting for a colonoscopy and gastroscopy, today i just had black stool, should i go to the emergency room for emmidiate help? or wait for the tests? Im 20 and have been having diarrhea for a long time, i got an iron deficiency as well and get red blood in my stool at times.
