What Causes Black Spots With Migraines And Pain?

I am nearsighted and was diagnosed with Posterior vitreous detachments about 5 years ago. I am now 32 years old. This past year I had had a lot of vision problems. One is I will suddenly not be able to focus. My eyes hurt and I am getting daily migraines. And then I will get a shower of black dots and it makes it hard to read. I've always had floaters and I can deal with those, but these are like i was looking at 5-10 suns and I get those black dots in my vision. I have had this before. It will last for a few weeks and then get better for a while, but it has returned again.

Hello
It seems from the history that you are having migraine and you are also diagnosed with vitreous disturbances.
The vitreous disturbances like vitreous opacities, vitreous liquefaction, vitreous detachment will cause floaters. Until unless they are associated with retinal tear no treatment is required for them.
The other symptoms which you have mentioned like shower of floaters are because of aura of migraine and will get relieved with treatment for migraine.
Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.

Thank you
