What Causes Bleeding While Having Sex?

i was just having sex with my boyfriend and i started bleeding, but my menstrual went off about three weeks ago, i am 45 years old with RA. When i went to the bathroom i was not bleeding anymore. Why did this happen? Please respond as soon as possible.

It can be your menstrual as at this age cycles can be irregular at times. But if it stopped thereafter it could be due to some mild injury to your private parts. Also at your age there are chances of cancer cervix also so not to be taken lightly. But if it happens again definitely get examined by your gynecologist.
