What Causes Bloating And Perspiration After Meals?
Eating healthy, drink lots of water. Get bloated and perspire when I eat. Stomach feels so bloated it ll explode. Pain moves around front to back mostly right side. Bowel movements only every other day, yet some days nothing at all. Went to ER all labs clear no infections catscan did t show anything. Sent me home and told to go to primary doctor for further evaluation. Still miserable. Had lunch today and feel like I ll explode. Took stool softener last night and not results. :( help! ( had gallbladder surgery two years ago)
Thanks for your question. Sweating is not related to a cholecystectomy (gallbladder removal), but it is related to pain from release of catecholamines. Your symptoms sound similar to dumping syndrome, which usually occurs after stomach surgery. Did you ever have gastric bypass? Dumping syndrome includes sweating, A feeling of fullness, even after eating just a small amount, abdominal cramping or pain, and sweating, flushing, or light-headedness after meals. Postcholecystectomy syndrome (aka PCS- after gall bladder removal) happens in 14% of patients with gallbladder removal and can include pain in 76% of PCS patients, but not necessarily the other symptoms. The best advice would be to speak with the surgeon or doctor who ordered your gallbladder removal to see if your symptoms are consistent with what happens after this type of surgery. In the meantime, eat small frequent meals instead of large ones and adhere to any dietary restrictions given by your doctor.
