Hello and thank you for asking HCM,
I understand your concern. Regarding to your symptoms it seems like you are having
acid reflux. This means that your stomach content goes back to the oesophagus, and considering that the esophagus is not accustomed to such acidic content that causes pain. This happens because your sphincter between your stomach and oesophagus doesn't work properly, it doesn't close after food passes through it. Now your symptoms have worsened since the returned content returns all the way to the mouth.
My suggestion is to visit your GP or an gastroenterlogist because the best treatment for your condition are special medications. Initial treatment is frequently with a
proton-pump inhibitor such as
omeprazole, but sometimes in advanced conditions, surgery is also a method.
Until then try to avoid coffee, alcohol, chocolate, fatty foods, acidic foods, and spicy foods. Elevating the head of the bed is also useful.
However most dietary interventions have little supporting evidence, so try to visit a doctor to get proper examination and medication which will improve your lifestyle.
I hope this answer was helpful to you.
