What Causes Blood In Stool?

I had a colonoscopy and gastroscopy and a polyp removed 5 days ago. This morning I had my first normal sized stool, and again found large amount of blood mixed in the stool. I have a follow up appointment in 2 weeks, should I just wait for that, or is it serious?

After colonoscopy blood mixed stool is very common even bleeding. You must have been given some laxatives for the same.Passing stool after five days also is indicative of less water & roughage intake. You should Also increase laxative to twice daily.
