What Causes Bloody Discharge From Vagina With Negative Pregnancy Test?

I had a normal period which began April 3, 2014 and ended as usual after 5 days menstruation. I had kind of a bloody show May 3rd lasted about an hour and then nothing since. I have taken 2 test and both said negative but have a bit of lower abdominal discomfort but no sickness, no tenderness in my breasts, no mood swings, no fatigue either. Could I be pregnant or is it early menopause as I am 48?

Hello,

Irregularities in menstrual cycles is very common during peri-menopausal period. It is nothing to be worried about. Blood FSH, LH levels can confirm menopause. So please be advised to follow up with your ObGyn.

Hope this answers your question. Please let me know if you need further clarification.
