What Causes Brown Blood Discharge And Cramping During Menopause?

I ve been menopausal for 2 years, i.e., have not had a period for 2 years. Last weekend, I was cleaning my bedroom, moving furniture around, etc. Later I felt cramping and today, I noticed a little spotting of brown blood on my pad and am feeling cramping, like a period. Kind of worried. What should I do?

Hi.

I've gone through your query. I can understand your anxiety.

Your history says you have spotting after attaining menopause, which means you need to consult a gynaecologist to rule out any serious causes.

There are few conditions that cause post-menopausal bleeding, it includes tissue growth, thinning & thickening of vaginal lining, medications or may be cancer.

Better to do Transvaginal USG & endometrial biopsy at the earliest for further evaluation
