What Causes Diarrhea And Abdomen Pain When Taken Alcohol In Large Quantities?
Hi. I am 28 years old. I do not drink often but Friday evening I drank way too much alcohol. I had 7 drinks ( 2 shots in each) in a 2.5 hour time. I also did not eat before drnking. I was violently sick and passed out a few times. However, I was not taken to the er by my "friends". I was still sick and throwing up on Saturday. Then SUnday the diarhea started. I still have diarhea today and my stomach hurts very bad. It feels very unsettled. (sortof like taking pills on an empty stomach. However, I did not do this)
dear you may be suffering from alcohol induced diarrhoea, and alcohol induced gastritis.
alcohol may increase digestion process increse colon motility may destroy gut bacteria may cause diarrhoea.people with ulcerative colitis, chrons disease, irritable bowel syndrome may more prone for diarrhoea.so drink plenty of fluids and ors, take rest. if symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly. I think I answered to your question if you have more questions feel free to ask.
