Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
the past few weeks (after bariatric surgery) my bp runs low. I am dizzy, light headed - ranges from 85/58 to 90/64. I was on blood pressure medicine. The doctor took me off of it - this is 3 or 4 weeks now. I am concerned something else is going on.
After bariatric surgery usually need for antihypertensive drug goes down,in many patients bp medicines are to be stopped.in your case rightly it has been stopped.your giddiness may not be related to bp,but reduced food intake.however keep watch on blood pressure and restart bp medicine only and only if bp remains above 140/90.
