I recently had wax removed from my ear. I have had tympanoplasty. On previous visits a Binocular Operating Microscope was used and I was asked to lie down for the microsuction. These visits have always been successful. However, on my last visit I was sitting through the treament and a Microscope was not used. To-day my ear is hurting and my Tinnitus level has raised. Should I heve been lying down and should a Microscope have been used?
Usually microsuction may not cause tinnitus. But it may be due to some other reasons like ear infection or eustachian tube block or allergy etc. Use water vapour inhalation thrice a day for five days. Use tablet lecope-AD twice a day for two days. If there is no improvement, please consult with your ENT specialist he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
