What Causes Esophagus Thickening?

my doctor is making me nervous i just had a cat scan which showed thinkening 0f my esophagus, i also just had a esohagrhm which showed the same thing now my doctor wants to do an endoscopi and biopsy. could this be a sign of cancer

1.Reflux disease
2.monilial esophagitis
3.post irradiation thikening
4.esophageal varices
5.esophageal carcinoma.

Please avoid smoking and tobacco chewing, regular exercise, avoid alcohol. Please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
