What Causes Extreme Pressure Behind Eyes, Dizzy, Blurred Vision On/off After Headbutt?
Hello my name is Andrea and I have a question. I was accidently head butted by my toddler on 1/13/14 and the next day had a horrible black eye. She hit the left brow bone and i had a lump there that has gone down a bit but still remains a bit. My biggest concern is not that it is still a little purple but the migraine headaches I have been having since it happend and the extreme pressure I feel behind the eye. I get dizzy and also get blurred vision on and off in that eye. I don't know if these are just typical symptoms from getting a black eye as this is my first one. Should I make an appointment and see a doctor about it?
Hello It seems from the history that you had a injury to the eye following which you had black eye. Black eye is because of collection of blood in the layers of the skin of the eyelids and will resolve by itself. This is because of injury. The symptoms of dizziness, blurring of vision are because of involvement of the eye in injury and this requires examination by a ophthalmologist to look for the damage to the eye and treatment accordingly.
Thank you
