What Causes Fetus To Have Chloride Plexus Cysts In Womb?

Hello, when I was pregnant with my daughter the dr,s made us aware (when we were 15-17 weeks, @ the fetal survey) that she had chloride plexus cysts, then had to be monitored more frequently...long story shorter, she is almost 3 and is thriving...Just 3 weeks ago I was diagnosed with an underactive thyroid, do u think or is there any correlation between the two & if I have more children in the future will we deal with the same issues...also when a child does have this issue in the womb, are there Any long term effects In the future.Thank you for ur time.CM

dear madam,y
you have asked a quiry which is very pertinent and shows your concern regarding the medical issue.
however development of choroid plexus cyst is a congenital occurrence and is more than 90% of the times self limiting. That means it does not cause any problems. An underactive thyroid also has no direct correlation. The problem must have been a incidental detection and it seldom recurs. So keep away all your worries and stay healthy....all the best
