Pediatrician 's  Response
Hello,

What you are describing is very common in the Pediatric age range. Several days of fever followed by the onset of rash is a sign of a viral illness.

These are harmless. It takes several days but they ultimately resolve on their own. The rash may spread before it begins to disappear. Other than treating the fever with Tylenol or Motrin, there is nothing else to do.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Eric Goldstein, Pediatrician
