What Causes Fever, cough And Headache With Swollen Cheek?
yes i am having flu like symptoms with 105 temp at times fever not leaving for long. i now have a wierd tast in my mouth when i grunt or cough and bad headach. I have been having swelling in my right cheek for a while now and i have went to the dentist and not tooth related. my eyes are watering and i am stuffy and my neck hurts. It has been going on for 3 days now.
If there is no problem related to teeth and gums it may be problem of tonsils or paratonsillar fossa. What you described may be typical presentation of right paratonsillar abscess. The high grade fever, abnormal taste in mouth, and swelling in right cheek indicative of pus collection most probably in paratonsillar fossa.
Presence of high grade fever indicates this is quite serious and needs immediate intervention. I suggest you to see an ENT surgeon as soon as possible. If you are not able to secure appoitnment you can visit your physician and ask him for broad spectrum antibiotics. I assure you with timely and proper treatment it is completely treatable. Thanks and regards
