What Causes Fluttering Feeling On Upper Left Side Of Rib Cage?

I have been experiencing a fluttering feeling or maybe perhaps a small muscle palpitation on my upper left side at the bottom of my rib cage. No pain is associated with the fluttering. I am a 30 treat old female no chance of being pregnant. What could this be and should I be seeing a doctor about this

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I have read your description and in my opinion this is better ignored at present since there is no pain. It could be due to anything but not very significant. If you have persistent symptoms then check up and tests are required including Chest X Ray , Serum vitamin D3 and Serum vitamin B12.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
