Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
For the last few months, when I have a substantial bowel movement, I get my period for the remainder of the day. I'm on the pill too and it's happening consistently, despite where I am in the month of taking the birth control pills. I'm not sure if I should be concerned - I don't think this is normal. Help?!

What Causes Frequent Bowel Movements?
Hi and thank you for asking. Bowel movement frequency is individual and differ from person to person. However contraceptive pills and stress play great role on bowel movement. This is why I strongly recommend to switch to other contraceptive methods for one month. If the symptoms will persist you should contact a gastroenterologist for further examinatios. Wish you health
