What Causes Frequent Muscle Twitching In Bicep, Left Eye And Thigh?

I have been experiencing frequent muscle twitching in the bicep of my left arm. It happens 3 to 4 times a day and is so prominent that I can actually see my muscle twitching. My left eye has been twitching as well and sometimes left thigh as well. It was all on the left side until today when I felt twitches on my right arm and thigh muscle. Should I be concerned. What could be the possible reason for this?

Hello,

First of all, you might experience might be a simple muscle twitching medically also called fasciculation which could be due to many reasons starting from simple anxiety, neuropathy to seizure.

You need thorough clinical examination and take proper note or keep writing of how many times twitching happens and get a neurology consultation.

Till that time you can do the following.

1) Make sure you are not under any stress.
2) Chances of muscles getting fatigued like excess workout or other activities are nil.
3) You are getting proper sleep (as even getting not proper sleep can affect eye twitches).
4) Make a note and timing of the muscle getting twitched
5) With these consult a neurologist as he can look for any signs of muscle weakness or fatigue or wasting.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
