What Causes Greenish Black Colored Mole Kind On The Body?

Hi, On the back of my shoulder I have a mole that is smaller then a pencil eraser but it is a weird color (kind of greenish black) and the edges are jagged. I will be seeing the doctor in the next week but I am worried that it could be something serious.. Is this normal?
