What Causes Grey Stools And Diarrhea After Stopping Omeprazole?

after stopping 40 mg omeprazole (1 took this one year) i have serious indigestion problems like grey stools and than diarea or obstipation and my stomach is very bloted. I stopped like 2 months ago but the stomach problems do not go away. My others problems like hip jointpain is much better. What can I do now?

Thanks for your query.
Noted the history and understood the concerns.
It is not really known that stopping Omeprazole for 2 months can cause grey stools and diarrhea.
Hence I would advise you the following in such a situation:
Get the stool tests done for three consecutive days.
Liver functions and other blood tests.
Urine for bile salts and pigments.
Clinical evaluation by a Doctor to have correlation with reports and thus get the proper diagnosis and management.
This way you will get okay.
Till then watch for the foods and beverages that cause such a problem and if found stop them altogether.
Also consult an Orthopedic Surgeon for hip problem for clinical examination and investigations as needed to get a proper diagnosis and proper management; get an MRI if needed as it helps to pinpoint the diagnosis.
