What Causes Hair Fall And Severe Tonsillitis In A Child?

HI there,

My six year old has been sick with severe tonsilitis for and has been running a high temp for 1 week now with no response to the antibiotics that she was taking. She is very pale & becomes lethargic when the ibuprofen or paracemtamol wears off. She has no appetite but is drinking water. I took her back to the GP who has given her a blood test. But this evening I noticed that her hair is falling out which I have never noticed before. I am now concerned and am anxious for the blood test results to come back.
Can u suggest what the problem may be?
Thanks,
Leonie

Pediatrician 's  Response
Thanks for the query.
If the blood test is normal, you should ask your doctor to do throat culture and sensitivity, and accordingly proceed for antibiotics.
Hair fall might be due to multivitamin defeciency occured during illness.
So don't worry.
Hope you a speedy recovery.
