What Causes Hard Skin Underneath Surface Of A Peeled Cellulitis Of Leg?
Hello, I had a small cut on my leg that got infected. I went to the doctors and they diagnosed me with cellulitis and gave me two types of antibiotics. The pain of the cellulitis is completely gone and the skin peeled off in the area of the infection. Now I have been finished with the two antibiotics for almost a week and the skin is still hard underneath the surface. Is this normal and my skin will continue to heal or do I need to go back for more antibiotics?
See an infected area heals gradually with fibrous tissue formation, so it may feel bit hard during that process.
But it may be due to various other reasons like partial control of infection. So you need to see a dermatologist.
