Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I was told that I have splondyosis (c4 and c5) in the neck, I get severe neck pain from time to time but recently have been experiencing dizziness and a throbbing head and palpitations when lying down. Most nights the pain is severe and it wakes me up from sleep. I also have really bad headaches at the back of the head and sometimes it gets swollen. I just wanted to ask what is causing the dizziness and throbbing head and palpitations? Aisha

What Causes Head Palpitations During Splondyosis?
Hello, Regarding your concern, I would explain that your symptoms could be related to occipital neuralgia, probably related to the spondylosis. Anyway, I would recommend consulting a neurologist and performing a brain MRI in order to exclude any possible brain disorders. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
