First of all, you should take a bed rest for 3 days after the accident. The movement of of spinal bones may suggest that you should ask an orthopedic for help. The tear in neck muscles makes the head unbalanced, so the other neck muscles try to compensate this imbalance by severe stretch resulting in headache. You should ask an orthopedic for fixation, besides taking a bed rest. If you have other systemic such as hypertension, you should take your treatment regularly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
