What Causes High Blood Pressure And Mental Stress?
i'm a 32 yr old male my total cholesteral is 171 ldl 115 , hdl 41 i've had paps since about age 14 on and off, i feel them every now and then, my q is am i in pretty good health, also take blood pressure meds, blood pressure usually be 130/80 also worry about my health alot Anxity?
Thanks for asking, Both the high blood pressure and mental stress are related.Your lipid profile seems to be normal. Mental stress causes increase the synthesis and release of cortisol. Excessive and sustained cortisol secretion can have serious adverse effects, including hypertension, osteoporosis, immunosuppression, insulin resistance, dyslipidemia and ultimately, atherosclerosis and cardiovascular disease. As in your case lipid profile normal and your BP is normal on medications. I advised to take your medicines regularly and do daily exercises and avoiding fatty and high salt diet.
