What Causes High Fasting Blood Sugar Levels Inspite Of Using Medicines?

Good morning. My boyfriend just found out he has diabetes a week ago. The endocronologist put him on pills and has increased his insulin to 15 units before bed because it hasn't come dowm. This morning is the first. it is 295 &just went to run. Should he be doing that?

hi, I had gone through your query and understood your concerns.

The sugar level you have mentioned are higher than normal. But you have mentioned only one sugar level. That could some times happen based on food taken that day or physical activity.

Give some period of time for the body adjust to new dose of medication.

If sugar levels are persistently high even after a week with present medication, the dose is to be increased discussing with treating doctor.
