Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband and I painted our living room today. Our 4 yr old was in rarely during this time but was in an adjacent room watching a movie. She was fine and not complaining of any headaches or ne thing. She went to bed after a bath around 845 tonight. I went to get her up around 1130 for our nightly potty break so she wouldnt have an accident in the bed and she was burning up. Her temp was 102.4 and I gave her some Tylenol. Could the paint fumes have caused this?
Hi Welcome to Healthcare-Magic Greetings of the day
Its unlikley to be due to paint fumes. In susceptible individuals, pain fumes will cause difficulty in breathing which may or may not be associated with fever. Paracetamol at dosage of 15 mg/ kg body weight will help her. If you notice any wheezing, difficulty in breathing or rash, then consult Pediatrician at earliest.
