What Causes Hoarseness And Cracking To The Voice After A Aneurysm Surgery?
I had aneurism surgery over a year ago. The air tube down my throat affected my speech but I was told it would clear up in about 6 months. However I still have periods of hoarseness abd my voice feel crackly much of the time. There is no pain. Any suggestions on getting my natural voice back?

post intubation, persistent hoarse voice suggests some form of injury to voice box and its components (muscles,ligaments,cartilages and bones)
You requires ent consultation with special investigations like laryngoscopy and stroboscopy to rule out the cause for hoarse voice.
Treatment can be given as per the findings of these investigations, in the form of speech therapy or surgery.
