What Causes Hot And Cold Flushes And Increased Body Temperature?

hello, my name is Tara and i am 29yrs old, 5ft 2, and currently weigh 65kgs. I am Type 1 diabetic on insulin and taking thyroxine tablets and loestrin tablets, recently i have been having hot and cold flushes, overeating than normal, and get tired quickly.

I am on the pill to regulate my menstrual cycle, and i am concerned as me and my husband are trying for a baby too. A few days back my breats were a bit tight and lumpy.

Please Help.

Endocrinologist 's  Response
Hello,
I read carefully your concern and understood your query.
I strongly recommend to check the thyroid hormones and exclude an overdosage of thyroxine.
The symptoms you reported are suggestive for overactive thyroid or hyperthyroidism.
If you are planning a pregnancy the TSH level shopuld be under 2.5 mUi/ml.
