Hi,
Qlaira is a
combined oral contraceptive pill containing the estrogen
estradiol valerate and the progestogen Dienogest is used to prevent pregnancy. It is also used for the treatment of heavy and/or
prolonged menstrual bleeding in women who wish to use oral contraception. Hot flashes is one of side effects of birth control pills like Qlaira as they contains hormones like estrogen-progesterone and progesterone. Hormonal birth control pills like Qlaira may hide some of the symptoms of menopause, such as abnormal period, hot flashes or night sweats.
If you take combination pills like Qlaira even after menopause, you may continue to bleed similarly to how you would on your period. Other side effects of Qlaira are nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, dizziness,
abdominal pain, indigestion, tiredness, fatigue, mood swings, depression, breast tenderness and enlargement, irregular uterine periods,
vaginal discharge, vaginal bleeding, changes in sexual drive, allergic reactions etc. If you have any query about Qlaira, then you should ask your doctor.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
