What Causes Inflammation Of Mandibular Gland?

hi, my name is Brenda. I have been suffering of inflametion of the right submandivular gland for 4 days ago. I don't know the cause, but I have a littler aphta in the lower region of the tongue. My gland hurts and it's inflamed. thouse are the only symptons. what should I do?

hello, thanks for your query,any inflammation in mouth, tongue(aphthous), lower gums, can lead to sub mandibular lymph nodes enlargement . it should be promptly treated with antibiotics, otherwise It will land up in ludwigs angina ( abscess) which is serious issue. kindly visit with an ent surgeon and evaluate. all d best. take care.
