What Causes Intermittent Swelling In Face When Suffering From Arrhythmia?

Have had intermittent swollen/red places randomly in my face for about 6 weeks. Each is localized, and then as swelling subsides, gravity pulls it downward and it eventually goes away. Only to reappear in another place later within a few days. I am 60 years old, non-insulin dependent diabetic, have recently been diagnosed with arrhythmia, and have gotten off medications due to assumed reaction (dr.recommended). Am on a regimen of 2 baby asprin a day, one metformin. Diabetes is well controlled, all other labs come back within normal ranges.

Dear sir

When ever you have arrythmia, there is decrease in the cardiac output, that means there is decreased venous return in the heart causing stasis of the blood in the veins and lungs.

This increase in the stasis causes edema.

So it is very much needed to control arrythmia. So dont worry reducing the cardiac output will solve the condition upto certain extent.

Thanks
