What Causes Irregular Heart Beats When Suffering From Lung Cancer?
My husband is stage 4 lung cancer who now has developed an irregular heartbeat. Normally he was tachy in the 110"s but regular. Now his rate when awake is in the seventies irregular and at rest in the 50's with occassional pauses lasting 2 to 3 sec. He is on hospice but the nurse in me needs to understand why. Is it to spread in his lungs?

Since your husband is in stage 4 lung cancer and is having irregular hearbeats i would advise him to do a echocardiography to see the condition of his heart valves and pumping action of heart.
