What Causes Leakage From Naval After A Colon Resection?
just wondering, i ve had a colon resection yrs ago & i came down with diabetes 2 yrs ago & since then i been noticing a tiny leakage from my navel with a funny odor. do u think the colon resection or diabetes has anything to do with this, since i do have to do injections sometimes in my stomach.

I really appreciate your concern, you have stated the two conditions here one is colon resection and second is oozing from the umbilical region, in my opinion both the conditions are different from each other and they are not related the umbilical leaking could be infection, it could be abscess formation, here the exploration of umbilicus is advisable till then local application of Povidone Iodine ointment can be tried hope this information helps.
