Hello,
Light bleeding, nausea, headache, alterations of menstrual bleeding patterns, abdominal /
pelvic pain, headache / migraine, breast tenderness, vulvovaginitis, dizziness, fatigue, amenorrhea, ovarian cysts, genital discharge, acne / seborrhea are adverse reactions of mirena. Serious mirena side effects include device migration, perforation,
pelvic inflammatory disease and ectopic pregnancy. If you are not comfortable you are suggested to get clinically examined by your gynecologist and get it either replaced or removed if need be.
You can always use some other
contraception method. Soft green bowel movement is indicative of salmonella /giardia infection. Get a stool test (R/E & C/S) done. You may require to take a course of
Metronidazole for five to seven days. Tinidazole is also equally effective. Take boiled food for a couple of days. For relieve from headache you can take
acetaminophen, one SOS when required.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
