What Causes Locking And Clicking Of The Elbow?

Hi, I have been to see my doctor about my elbow locking and then clicking. They have done X-rays and an MRI and both have come back clear. I have been getting this for about 3 years now and it is starting to cause me a lot of discomfort. Can you suggest anything?
