What Causes Loose Motion During 8th Month Of Pregnancy?

Hi doctor, my sister-in-law is on last week of 8th month pregnancy and she is suffering from loose motions since last 2 days. Her doctor is giving her glucose water but they are not able to diagnose the reason of loose motion. Can you tell me what could be the possible reasons?

Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Loose motions or diarrhea are most likely due to gastroenteritis. She should drink plenty of fluids with Oral rehydration solution (ORS) to herself and the baby hydrated. Moreover, she can be prescribed antibiotics as per need.
