What Causes Loud Pop From Knee After Kneel Down And Then Standing?

When I kneel down and then return to a standing position, my right knee loudly pops. There is no pain associated with the popping. I did this by kneeling to remove carpet for an extended period of time. When I stood up, it sounded like a gunshot. The next day I limped because it hurt that first time, but has never hurt since. I just don't want to ignore this if it could be something serious or something that could escalate. What is wrong with me?

There is no need to be worry. Our knee contain many structures which can made such sound which are not dangerous. so till you are just having sound and not having any pain , nothing to be worried about. If you start feeling any pain than you need to get a MRI scan of knee.
