What Causes Low Grade Fever After Taking Birth Control Pills?

Hi. I just started taking birth control pills (Sronyx) for the first time ever literally five days ago. Today I started running a low-grade fever. The fever is the only symptom of 'illness' I have. Could it be my body's reaction to the hormonal changes brought on by the BCP?

Hi,

Yes, Sronyx has side effects like fever, chills, nausea, irregular bleeding etc. It might be because of BCP too. Yet, other cause of infection like UTI should also be ruled out.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Archana Rajesh Babu, OB & GYN Specialist
