back in nov.. i took at test saying my prolaction level was 113... took a mri said they may or may not have seen something because i was moving... took a test again w/out meds.. level drop to a 17.. took a test again level is 8.6 have to take a mri again to see if they can see something or not..
Hello, Prolactin can rise due to many reasons. Stress, certain medicines ( for acidity, vomiting, nausea), nipple stimulation, sexual intercourse , chest trauma etc can rise prolactin temporarily. If it is coming down on its own, no need of MRI. It is not clear which unit you are mentioning. But if it is ng/ml, then 8.6 is normal. Regards B
