What Causes Lump On The Area Of Fracture And Tightness In Knee?

I am 8 months post op. I had tib/fib fracture. Inow have a nail and 3 pins. I have a noticeable lump in the area of the fracture. What is this? Will it disappear eventually? I also have discomfort in that areas as well as knee tightening and ankle pain. Is this all normal?

Hi,
As you underwent nailing of tibia following fracture both bone leg so it will start healing process sometime there are callus formation( generally not happens) around fracture site and tibia being superficial so a hard bony lump can be felt.
Due to fracture you might have not ambulated your knee and ankle due to pain which generally happens in almost patient post operatively.
So my sincere advice would be to regular physiotherapy for knee and ankle movement exercises and visit your orthopaedic doctor in follow up regularly and status of your union n review the lump present.

HOPE THIS WILL HELP . FOR ANY QUERIES FEEL FREE TO CONTACT.

THANKS N REGARDS .
