What Causes Metallic Taste In Mouth After Cervical X Rays?
My 73 year old mother had several cervical x rays where the red light went into her mouth and since then has developed several symptons including metallic taste in the mouth, excess slimy foamy saliva and a 25 lb weight loss due to loss of appetite, any idea what is going on?
Hi, Thanks for asking. Based on your query, my opinion is as follows. 1. Not related to cervical X-ray. 2. Possible side effect of medications being taken. 3. Oral infections or inflammatory conditions need evaluation. Meet your ENT doctor. Might require biopsy or culture for further evaluation. Need more clinical details, medications list and further details for further opinion. Hope it helps. Any further queries, happy to help again.
