What Causes Missed Periods, Sore Breast, Pain In Abdomen After Tubal Ligation?
i have missed my period now for about 8 weeks .My breasts are sore hormones have been tested and its not menopause. my kidney and liver are normal. my thryroid function is normal but antibodies are raised and every since i had a tubal ligation approx 2 years ago i have had pain on the left hand side of my abdomen.what could be the problem?
According to your description, as you have ruled out a few things, now the points to be considered are:
-Pregnancy to be ruled out as rarely there is failure chance of tubal ligation. Ectopic pregnancy also has to be ruled out. Serum beta HCG levels and ultrasound will help in it.
-Hashimoto's disease, which usually presents with positive thyroid antibodies with normal TSH levels. Can cause irregular periods.
-Fluctuations in serum prolactin levels, this can be seen associated with thyroid abnormalities, irregular periods and breast tenderness and sometimes galactorrhea.
Estimation of serum prolactin levels can help in ruling out this. Ultrasound can also help in finding out other possible causes of pain abdomen.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
