What Causes Mucus What Causes Excess Mucus Build Up, In Throat During Sinus Infection?
Hi! I have been harking up mucus for over a year now, it's clear mostly and sometimes yellow. It's like when I lay on my back, it's like the mucus just sits in the back if my throat. I do have bad sinus problems, but why does this mucus just sit in the back of my throat?

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of excess mucus build up, in throat during sinus infection means you are suffering from condition known as chronic sinusitis. I would suggest you to take nasal decongestant sprays, Antihistamines and antibiotic combination as infection is present. You should take plenty of liquids. Maintain proper oral hygiene. Co amoxiclav is best treatment option. You should take steam inhalation. Visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. Go for para nasal sinus X ray and get puncture and drainage of sinus if required. You can go for surgical reconstruction of opening after proper prescription. Do warm saline gargles.
